Things to do June 2021

THINGS TO DO THIS MONTHOutdoor: Place trees in a maximum sunlight location. As the weather warms the trees will need to be watered more frequently, often daily. Be sure to provide enough water at each watering to thoroughly saturate the soil. Fertilize regularly to keep the trees growing and to support the new growth. Remove new growth as needed to increase the fullness of the foliage pads. Wire as needed but be careful when working around the soft new growth as it is easily damaged. Keep watching for insects…

June 2021 Message from the President

President’s Message for June 2021 Our meeting this month, again via Zoom, will feature Christopher Consenza. Details below. We will have a picnic this year! Also, we will do the garden walks with Midwest Bonsai again! See the special events section on our website. As a general comment, May’s weather sucked. Too dry for much of it. Finally warm enough to put tropical trees out, and now it’s June. Jim Keith is moving to Tennessee soon. We will miss him much. He has donated several pots to the club…
