April 2021 Message from the President

President’s Message for April 2021

Our next Zoom meeting will be Wednesday, April 7th, at 7 PM. Our very own world touring, international bonsai artist,
Jennifer Price will present her comparison of European versus American bonsai styles.

Our last meeting, with Bjorn Bjorholm, was a great success.  We will be putting the video up in the member’s section of our
website as soon as Bjorn gets it to us.  Also, as I wrote last month: “However, due to the nature of that meeting, there will be no
club business conducted, i.e., our semiannual board election.”

I have iffy good news about that election: the board decided to postpone it indefinitely, pending the end of quarantine
conditions. Our current board members have agreed to stay on for another term. Also, no one volunteered to be on the
board. Especially, no one stepped up to run for president. I agreed to stay on for the duration.  We do have room for one or two members at large. No election involved. No assigned job. We need you to volunteer. We can always use your input.

Our main article this month is by Jim Keith. He mainly wrote it to help our significant others deal with our fixation on little
trees.
