The Prairie State Bonsai Society has a rich history dating back to 1983, when a small group of bonsai enthusiasts gathered at Triton College to form the Triton Bonsai Club. Over the decades, the club grew and evolved, becoming the Morton Arboretum Bonsai Society in 1987 and finally adopting its current name, the Prairie State Bonsai Society, in 1993.
Through more than 40 years of meetings, shows, workshops, and shared passion for the art of bonsai, PSBS has built a vibrant community of growers and artists in the greater Chicagoland area.
